Nucleus Care
Nucleus Care created a tablet to provide simple and fast communication for seniors, those with intellectual or developmental disabilities, and caregivers. Patients can make video and audio calls and share pictures with loved ones simply and securely with Nucleus while doctors can manage patient care. Nucleus was preparing for growth in their product portfolio starting with evolution of branding, and looked to Sprout for help.

Nucleus’ previous identity consisted of muddy gradients, small details, and some awkward type. While analyzing competitors and presenting current trends, we wanted to move forward with a simple and friendly identity with bold colors. Original sketches led to presenting the Client with a few refined ideas before landing on the heart shaped nucleus.

Final Deliverables
Nucleus final identity combines a cell with a heart to create their new logomark. The Nucleus tablet acts as the central point of communication for its users, as the nucleus of the cell. We wanted to convey the companionship and care the Nucleus tablet provides with the heart center. The logo was created with vertical and horizontal lockups with its wordmark. The wordmark was cleaned up from its original with a new, rounded sans serif typeface to keep the friendliness.
